The Kiyo V2 X sounds like a minor refresh of the original Kiyo Pro. The autofocus on the Kiyo Pro was super pulse-y and practically unusable unless it was disabled. But it was still a good 1080p60 option in 2021-2022 if you found in for a deal of less than $100.
The Yolocam seems to be a real winner. The company has said that employ additional people in Shenzhen just for camera development (their HQ is in another city), because that is where a lot of specialized camera developers are situated.
They also stated that they will have to raise the price of the S3 in the near future.
I’d be interested in how the Insta360 Link 2 compares, especially with the Wave add-on: https://www.insta360.com/product/insta360-wave
I bought the the original Link at launch (for an eye watering 360 € at the time), but basically had to sell it later (sold it, because I own enough other cameras). The look out of the box was really impressive and the tracking feature worked great., too.
I really like how you ended it by saying that even though the YoloCam was your favorite, you might have to find a place for it because it highlights that sometimes the best camera isn’t the best for your needs/workflow/setup.
Continuing the expansion on this, I borrowed my last Kiyo Pro Ultra back from my mom (gave it to her thinking I’d never need again) and put together a quick comparison of the two older versus two newer Razer webcams.
IT’S BEEN THREE YEARS ALREADY?! WHAT?!
I think some people are going to jump to say the Kiyo Pro Ultra is better because it biases brighter, but I really do prefer the image out of the V2 - especially the angle - but the bigger sensor of the Ultra was nice.
