Greetings Programs. CB here.

Long time listener, first time caller.

IT Service Desk Client Campaign manager by day and usually a good chunk of the night…because service management doesn’t have set hours.

Father of two now adult children, one of whom is a serious streamer/content creator (just bought his first home and the down came from that income) and the other who will become a new High School English teacher in the fall. Serious technology/gadget geek whose first computer was the original IBM PC in 82 and built my own first rig with the the brand new Pentium at the end of 93.

Interested in maybe some day creating my own content. I have spent a ridiculously, highly inadvisable, amount of money (for someone who still hasn’t learned to edit well yet, let alone created much to edit), particularly on sound, to that end. Have spent a lot of time consuming/supporting Addie’s content to learn how to eventually do it as well.

I am also terrible at most video games (once my then 12 year old son started routinely whooping my behind after an hour of playing a game first time that I had played for years, it made me realize just how bad I am). But won a pretty serious gaming rig with a 4080 last year, so I still try from time to time.

Pleasure to meet everyone.

Hi I’m kyller uhh I mean Marcelo. I don’t have a double life, I’m always busy on the computer. Currently I’m trying to level-up my real life player character. I’m not the creative type at all, I’m hoping to flex that muscle just to do stuff away from the PC chair.
I lost 20 KGs in 4 months. What else to put in the introduction…
Here’s my Spotify Wrapped: instagram.com Ask about it

Yo, I’m just another bloke on this floating (or hovering? maybe suspended, but space theoretically has no mass, but does dark matter count?..let’s go with transient) rock.

I work in corporate and event live-broadcasting as a live-editor/project manager, enjoy physical and digital gaming, and have a knack for photography. I’m in a bit of a liminal space right now, not actively engaging with much as I turn the boat around and rebuild.

I am very tired of the rat-race social media and online forums have become, and am slowly removing myself as much as possible. Looking to be a member of a community participating with other humans, and not competing for attention.

Hi, I’m new here. I came from YouTube and really enjoy the style and topics of the videos.

I’m trying to engage with the Internet in safer and less stressful ways and I’m hoping moving to using forums more will help.

Anyway thanks for having me!

Been active here for a few weeks now:
Been following BBK’s YT videos for a while now (1.5 years I think) and discovered the Dual Comm podcast half a year ago. Listened to all the episodes in 2 - 3 months (+ party chat) and these really invigorated my interest in gaming, in combo with the gaming laptop I bought around the same period.

My current other hobbies are home lab stuff/fitness/reading (manga and books)/… and some other things. It depends on the time of the year

Welcome aboard! Appreciate having you here

Hello Everyone, My name Seth I’ve been following The Dual Com + Party Chat podcast for a few months now and after finally canceling my Youtube premium I’ve decided to take the last step in trying you curate my online content and start using Patreon and Forms like this.

A little about me I’m currently working on a 1963 VW beetle trying to make a Herbie the Love Bug replica, It’s been my dream car and dream to own a Herbie of my own and do charity work with it. I also love Video Games, Anime and Manga. I’m trying to read more novels and books in general. I like to preserve old photos/videos and cameras or any old tech I get from family. I like collecting physical media of shows/games I like. I like to travel even though I don’t have the money for long distance with the car restoration going on but I try and go explore whenever I have the time, money, and energy. I look forward to checking in every once in a while here so I hope everyone is having a good day today.

I’d like to end this introduction with my favorite quote, it’s from The Shoddy cast YT channel from their Fallout story teller lore series ā€œI like to think of the world as one big book filled with stories, and those who don’t travel are only reading one pageā€ -The Story teller

I have been here for 6ish months and I didn’t realized there was an introduction until just this weekend. That’s awkward. I should fix that.

So … Hi, I go by Nemes. I’ve been interested in tech, and games, and video since playing pokemon crystal on a teal game boy color and poping in vhs tapes back in the early 2000s. Still big into gaming, but now I also edit videos, and occasionally draw when I have free time. Mostly game on Pc now but I’ve always been a Playstation 2 / 3 fan for home consoles and Nintendo for handhelds.

While I still love much of what makes the internet great, I’ve grown a disillusionment with social media and failed promises of alt tech. I’ve started to realize that I’m better in smaller places like forums and discord servers as opposed to the so called ā€œdigital town squareā€ so this was one of the 3 forums that I’ve joined. I’ve Been an on and off watcher of the channel since 2014-15ish so it seemed like a good fit.

I’ll be sure to chime in every now and again here.

First time seeing this post since people have been posting on it recently, never seen this one before lol. So since it’s nice to see everyone doing this I thought I’d join in.

My name is Berrie, I’m a young adult who lives in Europe. My main interests and hobbies are (ofc) gaming, technology and IT, music (I play guitar and DJ sometimes), collecting LEGO and Pokemon cards, running, beer tasting and spending time in nature.

My love for gaming started in my childhood when I received a Wii as a gift from my parents. That console was a real eye opener for me back then. I was sold right away and spent countless hours on this machine. In my teen years my interest in PC’s and tech in general grew when I switched to mainly PC gaming. I decided to study IT and pursue a career as software developer.

I discovered this great place by watching BBK’s and Epos’ video’s on YT (which I watch for about a year now if I remember correctly). For me this really is a great place to connect with real people about my interests and see what other real people are up to on an internet full of AI and brainrot.

Besides all this, my main goal is to live life with full intention and enjoy it to the fullest. The philosophy I try to live by goes as follows: if my live was a movie, would I watch it?

So that’s my introduction, nice to meet everyone and I’m glad to be a part of this community!

Also guilty of not posting one of these.

I’m Akino, I have tons of different monikers I go by on the internet, but this is the one of the handful I use that I chose to use here as well. Main hobbies include video games, technology & music.

Really got into gaming as a kid via access to my dad’s Gameboy. He kept one around, and I can remember playing Pokemon Silver quite a bit. This was intensified with my brother & I both getting Gameboy Advance SP’s and a copy of Sapphire & Ruby. Also put a ton of hours into Gamecube & PS2, with racing games being a household favorite. Nowadays I wax & wane in and out of MMOs, with shuffling a whole slew of other genre’s in and out during my lulls.

High School years I got super into PC gaming, with scrapping together money from holidays & my first job to build a dinky little budget rig which allowed me to play Team Fortress 2 all summer in a regional community server network— which I still hold a lot of fondness towards today and is a big reason why I love small community internet culture.

Play a bit of music, dabble with guitar, bass & keyboard but none very well. Listen to a ton of stuff, have been writing about it a bit more lately. Also have started working towards becoming a show programmer for a local, non-profit, community funded radio station to help give me a focus in terms of discovery & curation.

More recently have been really drawn to retro game restoration, learning Linux, and more broadly ways in which I can decentralize my tech usage stack. I really love technology, I just have an ever increasing sensation that greed is really making user experiences unenjoyable, and truly bad value. Thus, more recent a shift towards Linux, self-hosting, and open source software as of late.

Professionally, I do the graphic designs, video editing & digital marketing stuffs within a music related industry.

Been fun interacting around here lately as my discovery of the forums & Epos’ content was seemingly more recent, with I believe the iPod/getting rid of streaming video being one of the first I saw. Happy to be here, and enjoy checking in regularly with content written, crafted & curated by a small group humans!
