Internet Archive isn’t allowed to archive things as a library, yet AI bros are free to continue stealing EVERYONE’S work for all eternity because one makes a profit and one betters society.
Fuck this.
The internet is doomed.
Time to invest even further in my own datahoarding. What do we do next?

I know whataboutism isn’t great, but it’s hard to take ANY copyright enforcement seriously when companies like OpenAI are running around robbing the net - funded by ALL the megacorps - and insisting it has to be allowed because they couldn’t profit otherwise.

i will keep on supporting piracy because it does a much better job at preserving things than most of these crappy corporations. some pirates care way, way more about preservation and do a much better job than the suits who are at best ambivalent, at worst outright malicious and destructive towards history and our knowledge
