What do we have left when we willingly (and systematically) erase artistic intent and creative decisionmaking? Not even just erase it, but reject the very notion of it to such an extreme degree that we (seemingly) don’t even remember the value of it in the first place?
What separates an AI reconstructed presentation of a piece of media from fan fiction? Why consume things created by humans with human minds and ideas and values if you’re not willing to trust the human’s vision or execution? Why do people who create nothing think they create better than the creators?
Ngl, I was expecting something like this for compressed videos on mobile, to upscale for overkill 6" in 4k screens, to save on data traffic or sth.
The only use I can see for this is to blanket-remove whatever they need to, to comply with each country’s quirky censorship rules.
I know aggresive beauty filters are very popular in Asia, to the point of being enabled by default on cameras and live content. I guess nvidia is trying to address that? More unrealistic expectations for polygons
