Anyone have a recommended (Mac or Linux) program for bulk running OCR across a bunch of images? I want it to read a folder of scans, transcribe the texts and put in a text file next to each appropriate image.
Tesseract is the opensource project many OCR tools are based on. Someone may have created a GUI or batch script to do what you want.
This seems to come most highly-recommended and I apparently already had it installed on my desktop, so I shall give it a go once I do my scans!
