So this is how Pokemon on Game Boy Color normally looks:

Hard blocks, lines, etc. Clear fonts. Easily integer scales.
This is also how it looks in most emulators: mGBA on PC, mGBA core via RetroArch, Visual Boy Advance.
But for some reason, some emulators such as PokeDaisy and LinkBoy have wobbly lines and sawtooth artifacts:

What’s weird is PokeDaisy is built on mGBA and thus _should_ produce the same results.

Anyone know why this happens or what can be done to fix it? You know I’m a stickler for my capture quality. 😕

If [this](https://github.com/lidor30/pokedaisy) is the PokeDaisy you’re talking about then it looks to be a vibecoded project whose first commit was two weeks ago, so I’m not surprised that it’s kinda broken. You may want to create an issue in the GitHub project with this screenshot.

It is, but since this was the same issue that pushed me off of LinkBoy I was wondering if there was some consistent cause that could be more specifically targeted.

I’ve only done a cursory glance, but mGBA looks like it’s desktop-only (at least based off [it’s code repository](https://github.com/mgba-emu/mgba))? Maybe the difference in OpenGL rendering between desktop and Android is what’s causing the issue and using it directly, instead of via RetroArch, is causing it.

**EDIT** I realise that I’m being very unhelpful in coming up with an actual solution, sorry 😅
